Penguin Awareness Day!

‘Bad Hair Day’ by © Dan Callister/Penguin & Sharks

Today is significant as it helps highlight the myriad of threats that penguins face, such as climate change, pollution, and overfishing, which endanger their populations and habitats. Last year the African penguin was up listed by the IUCN to critically endangered. There are less than 10,000 breeding pairs left in the wild and could be functionally extinct within ten years. Please consider supporting The Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB) and sign this petition. We can still save these cheeky tuxedoed torpedos!
